Product Overview

Deploying ArcGIS Server on Spatial host is a comprehensive solution that enables users to configure and deploy your own ArcGIS Server with a few simple clicks!

ArcGIS Server is an integral back-end component of ArcGIS Enterprise acting as a bridge between the ArcGIS Data Store and Portal for ArcGIS in ArcGIS Enterprise deployments. At its core, ArcGIS Server helps you efficiently manage accessibility to your data on your terms. Further, ArcGIS Server offers the ability to set focused capabilities to each server depending on your license through server roles. These server roles include the default GIS Server and the remaining role options, Image Server, GeoEvent Server, GeoAnalytics Server and Notebook Server.

With the Spatial Host platform, you can configure and deploy your own standalone ArcGIS Server on the very same day that you sign up for your Spatial Host account.

Licensing

To launch an instance of ArcGIS Server in Spatial.Host you will need to do the following steps:

  1. Create your account and create a new organization in Spatial Host, then you're ready to create your first application.
  2. Download your ArcGIS Server license file from MyEsri (https://www.esri.com/en-us/my-esri-login)
  3. Create a new application (choosing ArcGIS Server) in your preferred resource group
  4. Upload your own ArcGIS Server license (.prvc file) during the application creation process

Tailor to your needs with ArcGIS Server roles:

  • GIS Server - For analysis, geocoding, serving services
  • Image Server - Distributed raster and imagery exploitation
  • GeoEvent Server - Real-time data feeds and event-based notifications
  • GeoAnalytics Server - Big data processing and analytics focusing on vector + tabular data
  • Notebook Server - Complete data science platform integrated with portal

Spatial Host provides a streamlined way to configure and deploy your preferred GIS infrastructure, with a hands-off approach where GeoMarvel manages your cloud infrastructure and regular updates and patching. While end users have direct access to key endpoints like Server Admin and Server Manager, there is no direct machine access available, which maintains secure separation of GIS users from GIS infrastructure.
